Organisational Enablement Manager

12-month Fixed Term Contract, Full-time, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

About the role

Through community and bold action our mission is to end HIV transmission in Aotearoa, by 2030.
The Organisational Enablement Manager role plays a pivotal part in the next stage of Burnett Foundation Aoteroa’s development.

In this role, you will lead and deliver cross-organisational initiatives that enhance Burnett Foundation Aotearoa’s systems, processes, and operational effectiveness.

With a strategic mindset and strong delivery capability, you will champion continuous improvement and drive projects that bridge service innovation, operational execution, and organisational performance.

You’ll work closely with a passionate team, contribute to a values-based workplace culture, and be part of our collective journey toward equity, wellbeing, and zero HIV transmissions.

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract. In that time, you will be tasked with the
following:

  • Creation and implementation of PMO/delivery frameworks.
  • Completion of at least 2 cross-organisational initiatives that demonstrate improved
    service and/or operational efficiency.
  • Streamlining of systems and processes, ensuring these are documented and
    embedded across the organisation.

Who we’re looking for:

You might have a background in project management, service innovation or delivery
enablement. We’re also looking for a commitment to inclusive, equity-driven mahi.

Peer Tester

Permanent, part-time, Te-Whanganui-Ā-Tara Wellington.

About the role

As a Peer Tester, you’ll deliver rapid HIV and syphilis testing services in community and outreach settings, ensuring clients feel welcome, informed, and supported. You’ll provide accurate testing, results delivery, and health information, as well as referrals to follow-up services when needed. 

You’ll work closely with other testers, health promoters, and outreach staff to make sexual health services more accessible - especially for communities most affected by HIV. 

Your impact will be seen when: 

  • Clients report positive, respectful, and inclusive experiences. 
  • Testing is accurate, confidential, and aligned with protocols. 
  • Outreach and clinic testing targets are met. 
  • Clients receive timely information, resources, and referrals.

Services and Outreach Regional Manager 

Permanent, full-time, Te-Whanganui-Ā-Tara Wellington (with fortnightly travel to Ōtautahi Christchurch).

About the role

As our Services and Outreach Regional Manager, you’ll lead service delivery and outreach across Wellington and Christchurch. You’ll guide a talented team across our Āwhina and Te Toka centres, ensuring services are client-centred, high-quality, and innovative. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance strategy and delivery - fostering strong relationships with health providers, community organisations, hapū, iwi, and rainbow community venues. 

Your impact will be seen when: 

  • Services and outreach plans align with strategic priorities. 
  • Staff are supported, engaged, and delivering outcomes. 
  • Client feedback and evaluation data confirm service quality. 
  • Stakeholder relationships are strong and active. 
  • Services are inclusive, innovative, and responsive to community needs. 

Who we’re looking for:

You bring: 

  • Experience managing teams and delivering health services or promotion. 
  • Strong relationship skills with diverse communities, particularly Māori, rainbow, and HIV-affected. 
  • Budget management capability. 
  • Strategic thinking with operational delivery expertise.
